2005 Summit Log Book

One arrived in the mail for me the other day. They tossed one in with some things I ordered in 2002, and I picked one up at Super Chevy in 2003, but I had to pay for one last year (was worth $300 in contingencies between Topeka and Pomona).

Was wondering if they had sent any out to anybody else.

P.S.: Their tire cover is a contigency item, too. Same decal covers both log book & tire cover.

P.S.S: Oh, they gave me a tire cover in Pomona...

I had the Summit log book back in 2003 but never used it. I log everything in a laptop which is much easier to do. In a spreadsheet I can see how my 60', 1/8 mile etc times and mph vary over each run in a nice simple graph.

I would use the tire cover though just to get the contingency money.

I did get the latest Summit Catalog in the mail the other day.

I know a couple of guys who use the log book at the track and transfer the data to an Excel file when they get home, then bring the printouts to the track with them the next time. My laptop is company owned, I don't think they'd appreciate it much if I took it to the track with me.

I received the catalog, too, but the catalog and log book came separately.

My 2005 Summit log book arrived in the mail today. I must be a somebody. Probably because I currently hold an IHRA membership. CX09

I might as well use it. There are very few contingency items I can use. The majority of the performance parts I have are not covered by contingency money.
