when my 91 G92 LB9 was factory it ran 14.4's@ 93 mph...only mods that i did to the car were a set of tires (good street tires) added a flowmaster exhaust, K&N filter ground down the EGR walls in the plenum...the car ran a 14.12@almost 96....

keep in mind this was a 5 speed car with 3.42 gears AKA a "G92" car...and i can drive the crap out if it....

now its got a bit more steam under the hood

I saw a stock 350 TPI run 13.0's at 5800' elevation Bandimere a couple of years ago.

Stock except for that nitrous plate behind the TB. And used circle-track slicks on the rear.

Sea-level with a 305, should be able to duplicate that.

That's about the cheapest bolt-on you can get, bang-for-bucks wise.

well you have to remember with a 305 or 350 you can do alot of stuff to the motor and the average joe will not know that you have anything done like for instance 1.6 roller rockers how are they going to know? they cant see them. if you go came just dont get one with alot of duration thats what makes it idle choppy and gets peoples attention i thinks thats why i cant get a race to save my life it barely runs. but anyways. port match the heads and intake little stuff like that. even headers most people think headers dont help that much but they do plus they make the exhaust sound so much better. you can even put vortec heads unless you know what to look for you wont even know. hope that helps you out

two words to going fast with minimal power adding mods:

WEIGHT REDUCTION

my car weighs 3045lbs. with traction, i am in the 13.60's. with my new high stall converter and tranny with shift kit, i should be in the 13.20's.

13.99 @ 100 for a stock 92 B4C 1LE Ex-DPS Camaro, with no more than a cat back exhaust. That is what a PO did with our car. I hear that is a common ET for B4C 1LE cars.

66nova hit the nail on the head......weight reduction. My 305 car
went 14.55 almost totally stock, but its a hardtop (-37lbs), T5vs auto (-100lbs), no air(-40lbs), pulled the passenger seat(-40lbs), pulled the spare/jack (-45lbs). Adds up after a while...

11's with 125 hp nitrous - it runs high 12's on the motor alone.
The short blk is stk with 180K miles on it (I'm the original owner & I attribute the motor holding together for so long to Mobil 1 Synthetic), and the heads are stk ported LB9, TPIS intake, runners, TB, plenum, SP-L98 cam, 1.6:1 roller rockers, Edelbrock headers, Flowmaster cat back, Richmond 6 spd, Moser 9" with 35 spline axles & a Detroit Locker, Wide band O2 system & I burn my own PROMs.
