Ran a few new bests today.

Went to Capitol raceway today and got a few new bests..

60' - 1.999 > New best
330' - 5.616
1\8 - 8.590
1000' - 11.145
1\4 - 13.293 > New best
@ 105.01

Then the track got oiled down and I only got one more pass but I spun it horribly trying to leave at about 3k on my street tires.

There isnt really much to it.. Its a 95 Lt1 that came out of a wrecked Z28 with 9k miles on it. The only real mods are shorty headers and a cat-back. I have a stock T-5, a 10-bolt with 3.73's and a posi and I'm running some crappy dunlop street tires.

Theres a pretty big group of Camaro's from another board I post on going to Cecil on Dec. 10th. If you want to come you are more than welcome. It should be some pretty good air and the track seems a little better to me also.

Cecil is the best track ive ever run at. i love the downhill staging lanes (dont have to constantly start your car to move it thus heating it up) and it seems that no matter where else i run, i always get my best times at Cecil. truely an awesome track!

plenty of people have serious 60' times outta their 10bolt. my best to date is a 1.750, but 87ta has been in the 1.4x range or quicker!

I've seen some pretty impressive stuff on a 10-bolt too so I'll probably end up getting some mickey's for x-mas. Next spring I'll see how it goes.. If worse comes to worst I'll just end up with a 12-bolt.

10 bolts tend to be dumb luck… I’ve blown up a ton of them over the last few years and have made up for probably most of the people that have luck with them.

Interesting to see all the locals turn up in this thread… I have to say that the fact that raceway road heading out of Capitol being down hill has served me better then the downhill lanes at Cecil, when you blow something up you just get the car rolling down raceway road all the way to the McDonalds out on rt 3 (I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a ˝ mile to a mile) and then call your insurance “roadside assistance” for a tow home without having to tell the insurance co that you are at the track.
