your thoughts on these things for tires....
a couple off roading / 4x4 guys i know use these things and say they love them and told me about them since they know i lower my slicks down to some stupid low psi (12 psi.. didnt that it was THAT low.. lol). anywho.. they are beadlocks. what they do it let you lower the tires pressure really low, yet still keep plenty of air pushing to the sidewalls so the rim does not come off / bead of the tire breaks. just wondering if this would b something worth looking into/installing. beadlocks

For drag racing at our level, it's not needed and your just adding weight, and wasting time/money. They (4x4guys) NEED bead locks due to running low psi in the tires and the fact the trucks are rocking and rolling through the hills varying sidewall load constantly which will pop a bead off.
I've run regular slicks with no screws down to 10psi, currently running 10psi with rim screws-prevents rim spin in tire, I've run as low as 5psi in the other truck I run with rim screws. Never a problem and I've never heard of anybody blowing tires off or losing traction requiring beadlocks. There is just too much adjustiment to be had in the chasis along with tire type/brand, and psi to fix a tire deflection problem on the hit that will not require beadlocks....at our level anyways.
