Well i geaused that since most people have droped the tank to take out the fuel pump when they put a carb on that some would put in a fuel cell instead of putting the stock tank back in.

sump the factory tank and that should be enough for a "Street" car. I have a -8an line coming off mine.

Well the the reason i want a fuel cell is because when i took mine out i bent the fuel neck up prety badly because i was in a hurry. So i want to put a fuel cell in it so if i have to ever take it out again it will be much easier.

Well I don't have any pics at the moment, but my fuel cell is in the rear in the lower trunk area. I cut out a small hole so that the fuel cell fitting would come out under the car, and my braided lines 90 around and the fuel pump is bolted to the back side of the trunk under the car. The little plastic door still closes over so that you can't see the fuel cell

Save yourself the hundred of dollare to convert car to fit a 12-16 gallon fuel cell and buy a brand new steel oem tank and sump for the best of both worlds that easily bolt into and come out of the car. If you bent it, you were in a hurry and did'nt take the right steps. myself and many other on this board have dropped factory tanks with no problems, I can promise the extra 1-2 minutes of being careful is going to offset the hours taken to intall a cell then make a steel rear firewall to seal that rear off from pass compartment. Also, plan on removing the carpet back there as well cuz once the gas drips and dribbles when your try to fill it, it will stink forever
but it's a "street" car so you should'nt be needing to fill it very often right?
If you switch to an externally mounted fuel pump, why would you ever have to drop the tank if you sumped a factory unit? If this were a 2 day a week toy (sat and sun) and you had time to waste and money to spend the cell might be a cool idea, but they are not practical for a standard duty street car and 4-6day a week driving....just like a roll cage, cool, but I hate dealing with it after a while.

Only reason I put in a Fuel cell is because I only race my car, and never knew how much fuel I had in it when racing. If its a street car, like IHI said, stick with a factory type fuel tank.
