Pushlock hose?

So is this stuff now legal for competition (NHRA, IHRA, SCCA, ECTA, whatever you know about)?

I’m under the impression that it is, but after years and years of hardline or braided and less then 10” of hose I’m debating using it (it would solve a few issues and look better…)

I had that stuff on my car once, never again. It deteriorates pretty quickly. I saw cracks in the hose in less than 2 years.

I think IHI has been running that hose for a few years now. It's blue right?

I was under the impression that it is NOT legal, I remember doing some research last year and I ended up buying 25 feet of -8 braided stainless.

I can only find my 2004 NHRA Rulebook, but it says these pushlock hoses are legal:

Aeroquip: FC300, FC332, Star Lite 200, AQP Socketless
Earl's: Prolite
Gates: LOL Plus
Goodridge: 536, 710
Russell: Twist-Loc 836 and XRP HS-79
Dayco: Nylo-seal tubing.

I've used miles of the Aeroquip FC 332 stuff in marine diesel fuel, sea water and oil drain line applications and it does start to show external cracks after many years in a high heat application (as in an engine room with ambient temps in the 120* plus range) but have never had it fail or burst when used per application. Yes it is a medium blue color.

We use it on the dyno but after 4 years it's showing cracks. Works good in there, but I wouldn't use it on my car. I think it's ugly.

i've got some on my car, running from under the rear seat all the way forward, but i've only got about 2 months on it. it works really well for my application.

LOL, no doubt it's ugly, but when I compared $280 with pushlock hose/fittings compared to over $700 the choice was clear!!

I ran it to just behind the firewall and then switched it over to braided for asethics. Lots cheaper and all legal. going on 3yrs and so far no signs of fatigue/cracking yet...knock on wood.

it will fall apart just as fast as braided will, but it will show the signs and you wont no the braided is bad till it leaks, got to reamber its just rubber hose to you get about 5 years out of braided but it does look alot better lol.
