new carb question
ok the guys in the carb forum havent answered me. i just ordered and holley 750 hp carb and a new regualtor and gauge. i was thinking about changing to a fuel log or dual feed line set up. right now i have one side of the regualtor to the front bowl and the other side to the back bowl. this dual feed line would clean some things up in the engine bay but is there any performance gains or losses from going to using just one port instead of the two i have now. i can always block off the other side of the regulator and hook it up when i plan to spray it or just use a hole other system for that. but back the dual feed line any thoughts. thanks in advanced. if this isnt clear check out some pics on my cardomain site and it might make things more clear. thanks again

shouldn't matter either way as long as the flow is there and can keep up. personally I use one line per port, but the logs work well also.

I don't think you're at a performance level yet where you need seperate lines going to each bowl. Although that's the best way to make sure each bowl has sufficient fuel, a dual feed line where one line feeds both bowls will work fine. A dual feed line is more of a street setup than a performance one.
I use a 4 port bypass regulator mounted on the side of my tunnel ram. A 5/8" line feeds it, a 3/8" line is the return and four 1/2" lines feed the float bowls. It's not the cleanest setup but I never have a fuel problem.

Doesn't matter. Both outlet ports of the regulator have the same pressure. Installing an adaptor fitting so you can install a pressure gauge can be on either side. Install it where you can read it the best. If I had a preferance, I'd say front bowl. Even though the secondaries may not be open, there's still fuel pressure to the needle and seats all the time on the front and rear.

ok finally got around to putting on the new carb and ran into some problems of course. my old carb was a 850 and had the vacum port on the back and in the front. the new hp does not have the ports anywhere. the old carb i had the big port on the back of the carb going to the brakes, now what do i do. the front port i had the vacum for the trans on that, also now what. i have the super vic intake on it and noticed that theres holes in the back of the intake on each side, which i have plugged right now. are those coolant holes or oil or vacum. if vacum i can just get a fitting for that and conect my brakes to that but what about the trans? any help here asap would be great i am trying to go the the track on mon. thanks guys
