Drag front wheel backspacing?
What backspacing front wheels are you running? Seems like most come in 1.75 and 2.25” backspacing and it seems like the 1.75” ones would fit best on just about everything, but there are a lot of sets of 2.25” ones around so I was wondering…

1.75" MT ET drag's on 15x3.5" wheels here, gives it a little wider stance and helps the handling on the street a bit.
Re: Drag front wheel backspacing?
These are teh 15x4 drag lites...only one back spacing option...hope it kinda helps with the decision, i think i made a similar thread way back when. Think i opted for the x4s just cuz i thought it would see the street more than it does. Oh well, here ya go.

Re: Drag front wheel backspacing?
I run Weld Draglites on the front. The 3-1/2" rim only offers one backspacing of 1.75". The 4" rim only offers 2.25" backspacing.
With these narrow rims for your front wheels, you don't really have a choice in what backspacing you want until you get into a 7" wide rim. The same goes for the Prostar rims.

Re: Drag front wheel backspacing?
Was 15 x 10 with 5.5bs
After the back half project, 15 x 15 with 5.5bs but there's enough room that I could do 6.5bs if I had the rims

Re: Drag front wheel backspacing?
I’m shooting for 15x10 with 6” BS, 9 with 5.5” or 8 with 5” bs, so they’re tucked in more like stock and not sticking out like most people’s drag rears…
Sounds like when it comes down to it either common front BS works but the lesser backspacing is probably more along the lines of what I want…
