First time at the Strip - 89 camaro iroc

So they had a test and tune night on my day off so i headed up their now that my car is running good.ended up doing 3 runs with a best time of 14.580.What does a car with my gears and motor run stock from the factory.89 camaro iroc 5.7 tpi700r4(auto) 2.77 gears 9 bolt posi, 21.5 lb injectors(ford racing) 3in flowmaster exaust ypipe w/ dual exit. stock manifold, no air filters. Everythign else is stock. Tire pressure 23 rear 35 front.Enjoy the picsI have videos but they arnt uploaded yet ill put up a link or the video itself later.

I have 2 buddies with 89 Irocs on ran a 14.7 stock with 2.77's,the other did a 14.2 stock, dual cat car with 3.27's

thanks for the info. yea thats good to know that my car is running fater then stock would be. that gives me hope that i only have 95000 not 195000 lol darn 5 space odometers

no reason to run street tires that low in the rear. Drag radials maybe, but just street tires should be around 30-ish. Keep trying to drop those 60', more gear would help as would a S10 converter.

s10 Converter? Yea i didnt really mess with the tire pressure at all i just set them to 23psi. It gripped great some of the guys were running 20psi on street tires. Ill have to try soem different psi and see how that goes.

S10 converter is a cheap way to get 1000 more stall rpm or so. It stalls around 2200-2400 compared to the stocker which is 1300 IIRC.

1998 S10 4.3L 2 wheel drive....get it at autozone, pep boys etc wakes up a stockish motor quite a bit.

Yea, my r/t really sucked i progressivly went from .8-- to .4-- which is still crappy but it was fun and im deffinatly going back to run every chance i can. one dayll ill be good Thanks for the info on the converter. Im actually planning on gettin this one all preped for paint and gettin it pained here in the next 2 months and then ill be reselling it to get one with the t-top, atleast the 5.7 auto. and preferably with the 1le package.But then again i might end up keeping this one and just buying another one and have myself 2 thirdgens so when i was stalling at 2000 rpm at the line it was just a waist of energy because my stall is only 1300?thanks
