2nd time at track.....

like I said this is only 2nd time at track ever.I did get better all around although only slightly.Car isnt quite running right not sure what it is I think my trans may be starting to croak and I had a part throttle miss the last few days and its been running rough on start up for a min then warms up fine.Anyway old best in the 1/8th was a 9.405@78.9 mph with a 2.379 60`.New best today was 8.88@78.34 with a 1.968 60`.I`m relly happy about the 60`thats the best I`ve ever got.I`m runing street tires, stock 2.73 rear, stock stall, stock tpi.Igotta get some new headers but I was hopeing the car would be a little faster.Supposedly these numbers are good for high 13`s but I`m a little dissapointed.I`d like to shave a half a second off that. The car ran ok but my other runs were even worse than last week until the sun went down.I forgot to ask for 3 of my time slips so i cant be sure but a couple felt a little better. Those new umi lcarb`s seem to have helped on my 60`times and I`m getting a little better on knowing what to do with some track prep and all.On my best and one other that I didnt get a time slip on the car barly chirped off the line.It seemed kinda slow for a start, but I guess thats the highway gear taking a second to wind up.I dunno still trying to learn.
