Car: 86WS6 30K and 82WS7 24K
Engine: 86:305 TPI, 82: 305 LG4
Transmission: 86:700R4, 82: T200C
Axle/Gears: 86:3:27 9 bolt, 82: 3:23 10 bolt
How fast should this car be?
86 Trans Am WS6, 305 TPI, 700R4, 3:27 Borg Posi, 16x8 wheels and stock tires. Car is stock, Heavily optioned car with t-tops, Runs normally, 27K original miles. What should this car run in the 1/4 mile? There are no drag strips close to us, so we have no place to legally time it, and I have no real desire to push the car to see what it will do. I have heard all kinds of crazy stuff. I am curious what it should run.Reading what others have posted, I am thinking that the car should be somewhere in the mid to low 16's? Am I F.O.S? not sure on the autos but my buddies old 91 5.0 5speed with minor work...home porting and advaced the timming and he was doing 14.30 on street tires!

On a good, cool track day, with a good launch... A low mileage peanut cammed car like Yours could very well run a very low 15. But mid 15's are what I'd expect. With all the free mods and a little test and tuning... You can easily squeeze into the 14's.
