30 x 9 x 15 MT drags fit well?

I picked up a pair of 30's for a good price, but not sure if they will fit well, anyone used this size on their 3rd gen?

I'm pushing 530 tq @ 3800RPM with a 3200rpm stall.

I know several 3rd gen's at my track are running 29.5's, but, I don't know if they have done anything to the rear suspension. I would think that you would need to at least "box" the front corner of the wheel well, and roll the inner fender lip, as long as you are using the correct BS on the wheels.

A 30" tire is very close to touching at the front and back of the wheel opening. I would be worried about it rubbing when it grows down track. I run a 30" tall drag radial on my car and it is super close but works since a radial dosen't grow much. You maybe better off since your tire isn't as wide though. This is the only good side pic I have on the work computer, to give you an idea of how it fills up the opening.

radialtireking, what size/bs wheels are you running out back to run that 295 tire? i've got 15x8 mickey thompsons and with a 4.5" backspacing, would rather not have to change them out. i've seen the 295/65's put on 15x8's without any issues though...

Yeah, thats at cecil. I'm closer to Mpale Grove but consider cecil my home track. I love racing there.

They are on ebay now. If you are interested bid away. I'll ship anywhere for actual shipping. Shouldn't be too bad. They are pretty light.

Re: 30 x 9 x 15 MT drags fit well?

A 30 x 9 will fit with either a 15 x 10 w/ 5.5 b.s. or 15 x 8 w/ 4.5 b.s. If the slicks you picked up are radials then the front and back will be ok. If they are bias you will likely need to trim a bit. These two shots are with the two different circumference radial slicks; the 92.5" and the 94" both mount on a 15 x 10 wheel.
