Would like to see your guys nitrious install pics. Were do you guys mount them and how you run your lines to the motor pics would be great just trying to get an idea.
Re: pics of nitrous setups
I have a plate i fabbed up to hold the solenoids, and ran the lines down the right side, through the hole behind the kick panel to the engine.

brackets i made for wiring and nitrous line

Re: pics of nitrous setups
what size are the ss braided nitrous lines? i was thinking about putting the botle in the hatch under the hatch cover and drilling a whole into the trunk pan and running the wires and lines along the frame rails being held on by the cusioned wire holders that you can screw into the frame. I thought the nitrous kits come with a solenoid bracket for the carb?

URMOM Not trying to be rude but you should consider moving the fuel pump to the rear of the car for better performace from the pump I would use a relay to power it with also and mount the fuel preesure regulator in another spot also so that if you take your ride to the track you can pass a tech inspection also no more than 12" of rubber line. Looks good other wise.

Re: pics of nitrous setups
The 12" of rubber fuel line is the least of his worries. The fuel pump and regulator can't be mounted on the firewall either to be track legal. You also can't have any rubber line going past the bellhousing unless it's shielded or steel braided.
A front mounted electric pump normally will work better at the rear but it's no different than having a front mounted mechanical pump attached to the engine. For street use, you'll never notice any difference. On the track, it may have a hard time pulling fuel to the front of the engine under hard acceleration.
car_fixer: Your fuel line running inside the car is a no no or is that an overly large NOS line?

Re: pics of nitrous setups
thats a #6 nitrous line, the fuel line is under the car going to the regulators on the right side of that pic (left side of car)
i didnt like the supplied brackets, and i wanted to make a heat shield for the carb anyway, so i put the 2 together.

Re: pics of nitrous setups
here`s a system I put together over the last winter....
Jegs solenoid holders with NOS cheater solenoids and plate...NOS purge kit also

Here is the 1 gallon cell, there is also a holley pump and fram canister filter mounted under the nose along with a holley fuel reg on the inside fender well for easy adjustments.

Here is a picture of the office, there is the NOS progressive unit, it is wired with the MSD igniton to retard timing once activated, also there is a master arm switch, bottle heater switch, fuel pump indicator and a purge button. A autometer nitrous pressure gauge is mounted along with the other componets on a piece of 1/8 aluminum, behind all that is the wiring to not allow the system to activate while on the trans brake.

finally there is the picture of the JUG and it`s aerospace bracket and NOS auto heater and blowdown tube.

GM I like the fuel cell mount setup, what is the frame connected to? When I mounted mine i had to point the cell outlets to the front, but after looking at the pic i may try to have it going the other way. BTW the engine compartment looks good.

Looks like a real pain to pull those valve covers off with the strut tower brace over them.

Radialtireking-how do you like your carb return spring linkage? It looks like the newer style with the dual individual springs that have the bracket to mount on carb studs?
Is yours outragiously stiff? We installed the Jegs one on the S10 and it was almost a two foot deal to WOT, unhook one spring and it was better but nowhere what I'd call and easy pedal. I finally reconfigured and installed normal old spring inside spring like what came on the facotry 80's cars and man, back to the good ole light pedal feel again. We tried adjusting everything to get it to work out of box, but those springs were just tooo much as tension was applied.
Got a wee bit o cash hiding under da hood, looks great

Re: pics of nitrous setups
i have the same return spring setup, from summit, and it works great, i actually used the stiffer of the springs that it came with, getting it on the throttle arm required some imagination though

Re: pics of nitrous setups
scott, that reverse shift pattern on your console is trick! i'm runing a fourthgen console, so i can't have one just like that, but i might just have to come up with something like that later on!
i personally like a stiff pedal. gives me awareness of where my foot is.
here's my return spring. it's made by Philadelphia Racing Products, the same guys that make the Jegster one(haha, no nitrous here

Re: pics of nitrous setups
Heres some pics of my 100 shot. To all the guys that have there holly blue pumps up front move them to the rear asap, I had mine mounted in the same spot as XFACTOR and it did fine on the street and on the dyno but as soon as I got it to the track I had nothing but problems. Had it in the rear now for over a year with no problems.

Re: pics of nitrous setups
No it works fine my understanding it is best to mount the regulators close to the source that is beeing used in my pic I was running the motor on the nitrous reg due to a bad fuel pump on the motor side. I run the holley reg on nitrous due to there abilty to maintain a contnant fuel pressure as where my mallory will move up and down a few pounds.
