head gaskets

This winter im thinking about geting some of those .15 head gaskets. I running the stock ones right now and i know i dont have the compression needed for my cam as you see in my sig i have 64cc heads with stock head gaskets and deck height what do you think the comp will be with the new gaskets. im hoping to hit 11's next year my best so far is 12.10 at 113 with a 1.79 60 ft with 2.73's. my other mods for this winter are 4.11's .15 head gaskets lca's and some more carb tuning. also whats the median price for geting heads shaved down. thanks

I think the gear swap will put you in the 11s and the steel shim head gaskets will help a little I think you are headed in the right direction. For ref. I swaped my 275 (28") drag radials to the 295s (30")for a race the car went from running 130 mph to 128mph and lost 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile I use a 3.89 gear.

i also heard that when i change the gears the converter will stall higher is this true. right now its stalling at 3000 so i hope they will help out some

In my experiences uasally changing the gear to a lower gear like you are doing will not make the converter stall higher maby a little lower or the same.
