2500lbs with you in it????? You sure about that. maybe 3500 lbs
No, the car says it weighed 3273lbs from the factory, and I have reduced that by about 800lbs give or take. Might be a little more than 2500lbs but not much.

I don't think anyone here has a car that weighs less than 2500 pounds. At roughly 2300 pounds for just the car is just not possible. Take it to a certified scale. Thats the only way to know for sure!

There is no way your car is 2500 pounds race weight unless you have a tube chassis car and a lot of fiberglass parts. Go find a scale somewhere and get the weight with you in it. You'll be very lucky if you're even close to 3000 even with a full cage. My car is completely gutted, Lexan windows, has a full cage, BBC and is back halved. My race weight is just under 3200 pounds. I actually took weight off doing the back half.
Without knowing an exact race weight (don't guess) I'll take a wild guess and say high 11's to low 12's. With the 700R4, 28" tall tires and 4.10 gears, I may change that to mid to high 12's. It depends if it will hook up at all. Your engine isn't much more than my old 383 which ran very high 11's at altitude.

I have to agree with the above people. No way it's 2500 pounds. You may have taken some weight out but you also added a cage, nitrous system and a 9" rear. My guess is your in the 3200 pound area. At that weight I'm thinking high 11's low 12's N/A if it hooks and the air is good. Low 11's ot high 10's on the bottle if your a decent nitrous tuner and your chassis works. I'm figuring the elevation in florida isn't real high. But only one way to tell. Take it to the track and run it! Let us know how it goes.
Alright guys, I'll go weigh it on a certified scale and let you know. Also, I have a chance to get a TH400 with a 3500 stall and brake, would that help me lower my ET's?
It'll add some weight and eat a bunch more HP but will be more reliable and have a better gear ratio. You'll also need to get a proper tranny slip yoke and different length driveshaft.
A converter that stalls closer to 4000 would be better for your camshaft choice.

could prob. go 9's with that motor/175 shot..... unsure about the rest of the car though.
