6.5 backspacing on a 10" prostar

I got my 10" wheels on i just used a little hammer and a small spacer and i just have to show someone because they fit perfect, they look so good.
here it is compare this pic to the one in my sig, and remember the one in the sig is a 8" wheel.
You have to click the pic to make it larger

Why didn't you just get a 5.5 backspace so you didn't have to use a spacer and a hammer? Seems like a lot more work to me.

Because it looks twice as good as a 5.5 bs wheel, and its only a 1/4 " spacer.

i'm running the same setup but with a 12.50 slick, i made a post over a year ago about how i got them to fit AND tuck the entire tire under the fender instead of sticking out like a 5.5bs

6.5-7 is what i'd run on a 4th gen rear. I ran 8inch wheel on my 4th gen rear and it looks great

Yours looks nice tucked up like that

It will be done soon, just got to get the motor back from the machine shop and fit the motor plate and build the headers and it will be all but done.

Re: 6.5 backspacing on a 10" prostar

I have 10" with 6.5 backspace no spacer may need one after i drive it a little and see what it does. Write now it looks like enough space. I love the way they look 5.5 backspace wheels are the easy way out.
