The next step....9.99!
So what does it take? More money of course!
After carefully choosing which NOS kit would suit my needs best ( for 6 months)
I decided to go with the NOS Cheater kit (150-250). The kit costs $519 new from Jegs. I found it on craigslist brand new in the box for $400. I offered him $350 and he bit. It might be the best deal I've got in a while. This thing is brand new in the shrink wrap.
Anyway, The original goal for my car was to run the 10.0 index this year. I figured out using an on-line program that a 100HP tuneup would reach the 10.0/10.1 goal for my car so I purchased the pills for that (47n/47n).
So now that I have this kit I realize that it could get expensive real quick. I'm already looking at custom lines, solenoid brackets, bottle heaters, etc....
I just need to stay focused that 10.0 is the goal. I realize this car go go mid to low 9's in the future with this kit. But i'll save that for the T+T match race with Orr89RocZ.
The only thing holding me back right now is my new 10 point roll cage is undergoing an over the top paint job. 1 coat etching primer, 1 coat Saftey black sanded and 1 top coat deep saftey black torque converter paint.
I also just recieved my custom guage cluster from member EvilCartmen which looks perfect and will allow me to run all new guages in the car. As for the rest of the interior I am adding all new carpet and just won a set of 4th gen seats on ebay for $36 like 10 miles from my house.
So when all is said and done I will post up results. I would really like to go 9.99 on the 100 shot.
the next phase for this car is the rear end.
9 inch housing, 3.89 gears, 35 spline spool/axels, and drag bar, etc...
So anyway, just wanted to throw my plans out there and see what people think.
Good luck to everyone this year!

the cheater kit is a great system....proven time and time again. get ahold of monte smith over on YB for a tune up (if you haven't already). depending on a couple things the 100 shot may or may not get you where you want to be, if your car is optimized for running NA you may come up a little short

Your at 10.7 all motor? 100 shot will get you real close to 9.99's. Just need to come off the line harder. I've seen 150 shots gain a second on 11.2 cars, so a 100 on a 10.7's car should get real close to 9.9's

How did you end up in Texas? I thought you were in Pittsburg?
Guess the West PA Vs. East PA/ Nitrous Vs. T.T race can't happen.

Oh crap, I started something I can't finish, lol. Seriously i'm really not ready yet. Car is apart for roll cage and going back together slow, lol. I do think it would be a cool TGO.org grudge race though. When I'm together maybe we can work something out. Like meet in H-Burg or Carlisle area. Hopefully that new converter doesn't send you into the mid - low 9's. Than I'll have to add a fogger to the plate, lol

... and yeah it gets expensive for a "simple" plate system. Don't forget a progressive controller for when you get bored with the small hits...

Those plate kits are nice, but I'd just go direct port for your setup. Try fab it yourself and go for the 250 hits
