How much weight can i save
by ditching the front and rear bumper, door bars(i am sure they are not that heavy) and the carpet and deadening material? I an trying to get my car on a diet and i want to know how much i might be losing, i think i can get into the high 7 pretty easily if i lose some weight that is really not needed, if i eliminate my wheel hop issues that is.
Any other weight loss suggestions are appreciated that are rather easy, i already lack a AC system and have a manual steering box.

Re: How much weight can i save
Last year I took out the door bars and rear bumper support at the same time and threw them on the scale...40 lbs worth!
Never took the time to weight the front, but guessing close to 15 lbs.
The stock carpet with the sound deadening is a heavy mother! Remove that and put some of the lightweight stuff in, probably be good for at least 30 lbs.

If your looking for a lower weight just for the track, I would suggest skinnies up front. My stock wheel and tire for each side in the front weight somewhere between 30-40 lbs and my 3.5 inch skinny with a tire weight 7-8 lbs. Also you can take off your front sway bar, along with the wonder bar. You can get a fiberglass hood, drops around 35-40 lbs, aluminum driveshaft, aluminum heads. All of this could drop 150-200 lbs off your car and that should be around .2 seconds off your time.

Already have a glass hood and factory LS aluminum heads, slicks and skinnies are on the to do list, just looking for the free weight reduction right now.

Your car can't weigh very much right now. I would not remove the rear bumper or any interior. I doubt they would make a big enough difference, and make the car a little less of a street car. At 93 MPH you already have the ability to hit mid 7s in the 1/8.

Yea, i figure removing the front and rear with the door bars and interior(and replace it with light weight stuff) would over all be a difference at the drag strip.
