Car: 89 formula/00 z28
Engine: carbed 350/ls1
Transmission: 700r4/ a4
Axle/Gears: 3.23 posi/ 3.73 posi
what will it run?
ok going to drag strip friday. changed my car over to auto. so now its a 89 formula with 350, 10 to 1 comp, xr276, 195 trickflow heads, 750 dp, 700r4, 2500 stall, 3.23 gears, slicks..... opinions please!!!

You should have no problems with mid/hi 12s reason I say this is lack of gear (3.42-3.73)and your stall is on the small side(3200-3500) would be much more desirable, if you were TPI both of those parts would work better together.... Run whatcha got and let's see how it unfolds.

atlanta dragway friday nights track prep work sucks . so more stall and more gear mean less hook even with slicks.

People can hook on the street making a good amount of power so if you have slicks and the track is prepped pretty crappy you probably have other issues to sort out.

sounds like it should be faster. what are the rpms at the end of the track? I would try drag radials then evaluate the rpms at the end of the track to see if you are running the right rear end gear.
