In-Car with the IROC
4 runs from 1 day this summer at the local 1/8th mile.
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA90Gc8XOqI
Timeslips:
Run 1: 8.51 @ 84.76 (1.95 60')
Run 2: 8.39 @ 85.21 (1.94 60')
Run 3: 8.29 @ 85.20 (1.84 60')
Run 4: 8.40 @ 84.59 (1.88 60')
The plan is to get a 2-step in there to help with the launch before next season. I'm watching too many things and cutting terrible RTs. Controlling rollout, revving to launch rpm range (~5k-6k), watching the lights.... it becomes too much as I'm sure you all know.

Re: In-Car with the IROC
And everyone who only watches racing says it looks easy. I try to explain to my girlfriend all the things I do inside the car from when I start my burnout to when the car launches and she still can't believe how much I do. That's the human factor of racing. If you're going to screw up a run, chances are you've already screwed something up before the green light even comes on.
I don't care for the theatrics at the start of the video but the in car shots and the PIP look good. I realize you don't want to break anything but your shifts with the clutch are really slow.

Re: In-Car with the IROC
I guess I'm too nervous right now without a rev limiter to really try and maximize my shifting with powershifts or faster clutch shifting. Any tips? (other than get an automatic, heard that too many times lol)
Also, I'm not familiar with the term PIP?

Re: In-Car with the IROC
Working on getting the shifts a bit quicker now. Purchased a rev limiter and will be installing it with a 6200 or 6400 chip. Should be able to properly powershift now without the fear of losing the engine. Shortened up the shifter a bit as well, seems to have given me more confidence and a quicker shift there too. Should be able to hit the track once more this season and report back with a results video.

Re: In-Car with the IROC
When I run my street tires, I do a quick chirp to throw the rocks off. On my ET Streets, I give it a good burnout. Those burnouts were with ET Streets.

Breaks traction between gears a slight amount. Fraction of spin off the line, but I attribute most of the issues with the fact that the cords are about to start showing on the tires. They are BEAT but they work until they pop apparently!

This is with my ET streets, 4.30 gears launching at 5500, you should be looking something like that, i am using a T56 as well. Car is 3450 with me in the seat.
You should be 1.7 60 foot times at least, this video is a 1.55:

Zone is that 1.55 Sixty foot time with your dual friction centerforce clutch? Thanks

Re: In-Car with the IROC
Yea, that is the limitation of the clutch though, it just will not hold any more power, the car went .1 tenth faster on a 150 shot.
