needs more converter, 4000ish, as well as gear, atleast a 3.70 (3.90 with a 26" tall tire or a 4.11 with a 28" tall tire would be ideal considering the rest of the combo, but i know all about street driving taking precedence) also, the exhaust is on the small side...should have longtubes and single 3.5" in my opinion.
as it is, i think it'll run 12.2x at 112ish mph. do the things i said and it'll trap probably close to 116. (maybe better given 100% ideal conditions)

3800+ on converter size is my opinion as well.

Weight, unknown. It will be in full street trim, Track every once and again.
How would a stall, say 3500 be for street driving? I do alot of around town driving.

I didn't even notice my old 3600 TCI 10" converter, honestly get with that Fast383 guy on here, he works for transmission specialties and can get you a good converter for a cheap price. If you're running the 700r4 trans it'll lockup still and drive like stock when locked up. Just remember to run a big trans cooler.

Re: New build, Any ideas on 1/4 times?
i daily drove a 4000 10" ati converter (700r4 with lockup) and once i got used to it being a little sluggish at part throttle, i didn't even notice it. especially once locked up. i second getting with Justin (fast383). they make a great product and they're not terribly expensive. (my current converter is a 9" transmission specilaties unit)
that's a decent sized cam, and is going to need a decent sized converter and a decent sized gear to make it work right.

Now, without a higher stall, would it just be a dog on the lowend?
Say I do have a 3800 stall, with 3.27s, Would it have street manners?
And as for gear, I would like 3.42s or 3.73s, but that would be way later in the year, instead of upgrading the 9bolt, I rather go 9inch or 12bolt.

I drove an 8"converter 4500 stall last year 3 days a week. Have a know company build you a custom unit. It will be the one biggest improvement you will see at the track if it hooks.

I run a 3200 with 3.23's and its just fine with my cheap Revmax converter, but I dont recommend going cheap on a converter, you get what you pay for, I am now looking into a Vigilante 4000 stall, and I need much more gear too but I'm going with 3.73's cause I highway drive it a lot, I would love to go 4.56's but its out of the question for me, right now I end the traps with a 26" tire at 4200rpm

^^go with the vigalante if you like poor customer service and a converter with 12+% slippage.

Re: New build, Any ideas on 1/4 times?
Actually I'm not making any recommondations on brands, I only said I don't recommend going cheap, I went cheap with the Revmax one and it has held up for one season, but I only put about 30 passes on it last year and I need way more stall and gears. As for me getting the Vigilante, it's from a friend, it's used and I'm getting a good price, I also know the car as I was the one to install it, he ended up going with a t56, I have never used Vigilante in any of my cars so I would not make any recommendations until I have used it or any other product for that matter.
As far as my opinion on stall, I don't think he would get into the 11's with the cam, gears and stall mentioned above but then again I don't know the weight of the car, for all know it could be 2000lbs.
And for the record I'm not taking your comment as an insult in any way and I do appreciate your advice thank you.

that's fine. i have used vigilante. i bought one used, sent it back for a refresh and restall, only to be talked to like i was a 12 y/o, which pissed me off. then when i got it in the car it drove fine and functioned correctly on the street but had something like 16% slippage going through the traps...it was terrible. as a result, i avoid them like the plague, and have no issues whatsoever telling everyone my experiences.
haha, no lie...there does seem to be a trend developing....
