Hooker Super Comps and evac tubes???

Just trying a set of hooker Super Comps on for size. So far I've got the Pass. side in and the rear tube hits the lower control arm rear mount. I've modified the bracket a little to get clearance. Has anyone else had this problem? This is a SBC with a stock frame and Moroso solid mounts.
Next I'm looking at fitting an evac system in the collectors. With the rt. side in it's pretty tight near the starter, looks like the tube will be pretty short. Anyone done this? any pics possibly? I've got the 1/2 pipe and cutting it won't be a big deal, just wonder about the length. I'm guessing let about 1/2" stick down into the collector.

So far I just ground a little on it and it cleared. When I pull the engine I'm going to work on it a little more. Called Hooker and of course they've never heard of it. Driver's side went in like nothing. Didn't even have to lift the motor at all.

edit- nvm, was gonna say look at your mounts but saw you had solids.

the evac tubes have a notch to tell you how far to insert them into the headers iirc.

My evac tubes are 1/2" pipe nipples from the local hardware store.

Notch them like the Moroso ones. I have always been told they pull better vacuum with the notch. Its a simple venturi set up.

I also run solid mounts. Im wondering if that slightly moves the engine allowing the passenger mount to hit? I ground mine flat on the one corner and then stuck a piece of metal up from the inside of the mount and welded it back solid.

I have this setup on my car. It all fit but it is tight on the passenger side. I'll get you some pictures tonight.

Here's pics of how it worked out. I notched the tubes for the venturi. Headers are now going to get coated.

Mine were $220, I brought a couple of sets. It's more if you have any removeable pipes, less for street headers.
