Approximately 1.5 times your 1/8 mile time.

Multiply by 1.55 and add about a tenth is closer for my ET's. There is no real formula to convert it. There are too many variables in the last 1/8 mile to get an accurate conversion. Any formula available would only give a best guess conversion.
Three of my runs this year 1/8 and 1/4
7.601/11.894
7.710/11.954
7.604/11.857
Your 8.8 would probably be around 13.7's in the 1/4.

LS6 Big Block buildup now in progress
Best results before the engine blew up
Best ET on a time slip: 11.857
Best corrected ET: 11.163
Best MPH on a time slip: 117.87
Best corrected MPH: 126.10
Best 60 foot: 1.662
Racing at 3500 feet elevation but most race days it's over 5000 feet density altitude!

I had a big interest in this too because I run at both a 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile dragstrips.
Being into math and other ugly things, I developed a formula that is very accurate for my '87 with mods. The 1.5 formula is not very good, but OK if thats all you got. My formula is:
1/4 mile ET = -0.3730 * (60' time) plus
1.3613 * (1/8 mile ET) plus 2.5747
I know its complicated, but it works great.

hmmmm. didn't work for my best time.
-0.373 * 1.667 = -0.621791
1.3613 * 7.604 = 10.351325
2.5747 = 2.5747
Total is 12.304 and I ran a 11.857. Multiplying the 7.604 1/8 mile time by 1.56 will give me 11.862. Much closer.
