Hi

I last summer I was driving to work with a friend of mine. I was stop at a read light and a SKODA Favorite pulled beside me (I have an 86 T/A 305HO with some mods). When the light turned yellow the Skoda owner putted the pedal to the metal and all those ~55-65 hp pulled his car of the line

I did not go over ~2000 rpm and where beside him. I looked at him and I could see he was serious. I did not put the pedal to the metal until we where doing around 45 then I gave my engine some gas and left him.

I think he thought he could beat me and I was racing

i get the feelin gmost guys here don't know what a skoda is, to americans think the equivalent being a slightly more powerful hyundai tiberon w/ even worse styling. just another rice turd getting a detroit smack down.

SKODA is a car from eastern europe (Czech).

I think it is a good car now after ww bought the factories but it was a little better than the Yugo few years ago. You had to have a calendar to find out how quick it went the 1/4

They had some rally types which I have heard where rather quick (I dont know how or compared to what), but I have never seen one.
