Helmet

Where is a good place to get a Helmet. What is a good one and how much do they cost?

www.racerwholesale.com and www.jegs.com have G-Force 2000 spec helmets for $130, last time I saw. Those helmets should be good for 10 years.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Any motorcycle shop will have a helmet that you can use. Make sure it has a Snell rating inside the helmet. M95 are still around but you should be able to pick up M2000 now also. You don't need an SA rating helmet unless your car is capable of running in the 9's.

Just choose wisely. Earlier this year, I got the $130 M2000 helmut from racer wholesale. After some checking, I learned that this was not "legal" for my local road racing course (Nelson's Ledges). Since I plan to put my IROC on this race track over the summer, I returned the M2000 (Motorcycle - 2000) and got the SA2000 (Special Applications). SA2000 is approved for more event types than M2000.
