hows 15.3 sound for an almost stock 92 RS ?

So does a 15.306 @ 88.71mph with a 2.145 60' sound good for a almost stock 92 RS with 305 and 5 speed??? I basically want to see how close I am to other 92 RS's that run and want to see if all the time i've put in the car are actually worth it.
Mods so far include K&N air filter, gutted cat with flowmaster, Moop sprints, KYB GR2 shocks, and a rear axle 3:27 Posi from an 89 Z28

oh ya and its also got 160 degre thermo and hypertech chip neithor of these mods did anything for my times.

15.30's with so few mods is very repectable with an L03. A set of headers and maybe a better chip should put you in high 14's. Other the mods you have, I have a set of Hedman headers, A Hypertech chip, and a set of 1.6 roller tips, and the best I've went was 14.91, but that was in cold Jan weather and the best the car has run this summer is a 15.18 @ 90.06

Trans: Turbo 350 w/ 4000 stall -- Rearend 7.5 w/ Richmond 4.10's, Auburn Minispool
Best ET:11.60 @ 114.56, w/ a 7.34 1/8 @ 93.50, and a 1.622 60'

then where should i be ? i have an lg4 performer intake manifold , peformer 600 cfm carb , other than that basic tweaks , such as . open element air cleaner , absolutly no smog equipment , flowmaster 80 series muffler , and no cat , i cant take it to the track because the closest track is an hour away and im always too busy to go but a guesstimate would be ok . oh btw this is in an 87 z28 with 2.73 rear

mss I'd say mid 16's if you're stick and 17 automatic... I have basically the same setup except for 3.27 gears and 5 speed '84 engine which has a little less Hp... so that probably makes up for the gearing... I don't know what muffler I have... that shouldn't matter much.

those are very good times for a LO3. the posi and the gears are prolly the biggest help. it sounds like you must have hooked pretty good too, what were your short times?

good job.

BEalive it or not I used to get better 60' times with the old axle 3:08 open. I've gotten 1.9 with the old one now my best so far is a 2.1

the gears may be causing a little wheel spin. did you drop the front sway bar? that would help the weight transfer a bit and plant the tires.

I have no wheel spin what so ever and as far as the front sway bar It has to stay in since the car is more of an autocross car

I believe what NJ SPEEDER means is that you can just take the endlinks loose, and the leave the sway bay in place. This is what I did when I ran my RS. It made a signinficant difference, and since it's only 2 bolts you have to take off, and you can take them off with (2) 1/2" wrenches, I have to say it's definetly worth the 5 mins worth of work you'll have to to do.
