96 impala SS?

anyone know what a impala SS runs in the quarter stock?There's alot of them around here and I'm trying to talk my wife into buying one for a family car Also what kinda hp. do these come with?I'm still going to keep the camaro,but I also need a family car.Might as well have a fast one!!

There not that fast. 15.x stock. But I love mine!!!! great family car. great size trunk. brakes are great. nice and comfty. rides nice. I let the wifey drive it at times, but she knows it better come back without a ding. I keep mine stock.

The best times I have seen was 10.55 in the 1/8th mile.

that's really not that fast,always room for some mods though.doesn't the car weigh like 4000 lbs?

I've seen a couple modded ones run 12-flat and some in the high 13's. I beleive there are a couple of web sites out there.

They run an iron headed version of the LT1. They are rated at 260 hp. The reason they aren't that fast is because they are HUGE!
