Got front coil overs? Come on in!!

Hey guys, looking for a starting spring length and rate for aluminum headed small block using a 2" drop spindle and strange mustang struts. Glass hood and no accessories other than an Alt if it matters. Also relocated bat and no front bumper. Tried to but couldn't really find anything. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Got front coil overs? Come on in!!

You guys are miss understanding me. I JUST need the springs, everything else has been purchased (double aa performance stuff). I live pretty close to summit racing which is why i didn't order the springs when i ordered the rest of the stuff. Makes it a lot easier to return if I get the wrong one. Just looking for length and spring rate, not who i should buy it from

Re: Got front coil overs? Come on in!!

well, i was saying, call racecraft to buy your springs through because they will give you the tech advice based on real world results. you can buy just the springs through them, lol.

Re: Got front coil overs? Come on in!!

Jason @ PA Racing said I needed 14", 175lb springs when I got my setup from him......All aluminum LS3 based motor.....might be a good starting point or maybe 200lb I would say.....you have a cast iron block

Re: Got front coil overs? Come on in!!

I will just give my opinion and its just that.. I have a 91 bird and though I have lightened it pretty significantly when I used the 14" 175 hypercoils they were too stiff. They didnt compress very much and couldnt even get the car low enough. I am using the racecraft cc plates mustang strange struts with strange coil over kit. I also used a set of 150 on it and seemed better but pulled the motor and started a rebuild before I got very far with it. My car had a alum headed sbc.

TRZ recommended a 150lb starting deal with a 12" length if lowered, 14" if standard height. Think imma start with those and see where we're at
