yeah the gold zinc is inexpensive to have done.all of these parts in photos posted I think I spent 60 bucks to have plated..
when I asked them how much to do my 9 inch rear end with the ladder bars they quoted me $60 also

I was going to mention that too. My 86 had both but then again, with a 20 year old car who knows who's done what.
A excellent part just the same. Of all the crosmembers I've checked out, that UMI piece looks to be about the most robust.

Wow. That IS inexpensive. Compared to getting some aluminium bits anodized black, the zinc is very affordable.

The same place I get my plating done.. also anodizes...they told me..to get my gauge panel anodized any color for $70. Now for that $70 I can .get 20 to 30 gauge panels done. The cost is the setup...they do any color anodizing..

Took a week to drive down the west coast. From wa to ca. Stopping at any place we wanted...not one day of rain..was fantastic....
