Front mounted fuel cell

I have been looking around for a good location for a front mounted fuel cell. I saw one where it was a couple inches in front of the radiator and another one where the stock battery compartment is. This also brings me to my next question would they both pass a tech inspection? I'm not opposed to either spot, however I already have a 3 gallon fuel cell, so I want to stick it up front somewhere.

Re: Front mounted fuel cell

Mounting the cell up forward is perfectly legal as long as it in within the confines of the frame/body and out of the drivers compartment. I have a small 1 gallon cell mounted where the drivers side tray is for my nitrous cell. Tech has always looked and given the comments that it looks very neat and tidy.

Re: Front mounted fuel cell

I did end up cutting the battery tray out to stick the fuel cell in there. It looks pretty clean and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
