Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. I just wanted to introduce myself.

In the upcoming winter months I plan on reviving a 15 year old project. It's kinda a long story but in short, I bought an 88' IROC some 15 years ago and was prepping it for a road course car. My brother at the time was in to doing body/paint work on the side at his shop [where this car is located]. He had the body all stripped down to bare metal. We had a falling out and he shoved the car outside where it has sat ever since. I've checked on the car from time to time. The rust isn't as bad as you'd think but it's not pretty. I've had the thought of turning it into a no prep car. I have a ton of spare parts and just about everything to build the car with. I figure it'd make some good content with my new channel also. I'll post some pics as I get started. Here is what I have acquired so far.

• 5.3 Short Block
• 317 Cast cylinder heads
• BTR Stage II turbo camshaft
• Huron Speed V1 kit
• Precision 76/75
• Precision 50mm BOV & 46mm WG
• Complete fuel system setup for E85
• Holley Terminator
• Built powerglide w/trans brake
• 4000 Stall converter

There are many, many things I still need to get chassis and suspension wise, but I figure the time has come for me to start on this project so I can start doing some of the back of the track stuff. Anyways, that is all for now.

Sounds like a great project. I also have a turbo 5.3…you’ll love it!

Thank you! Just curious, have you ran yours at the track? What kinda 1/8 and 1/4 mile times? How much power are you making?

Mine has been a very long project and I’m still working a few bugs out, so no track yet. It puts 580hp/605ft-lbs to the rear wheels with a stock long block. Details are in the build thread in my signature.
