it did.

i lost, but i still joke about it.

but in my own defence it needed a tune up, and i had 140 extra lbs of passanger in the car at the time. plus he has a manual, so he can leave the line at whatever rpm he wants, i'm stuck with a stock converter, that stalls at about 1500 rpm.

plus i have the 2.73.

but i have a 400P in the works, a 4 speed and a set of 3.42s

maybe i'll have better luck then.

but this is all on haitus till i get some money.... so come ti think of it i'll have this 301 combo forever, and the 400 will be on the stand till i'm 45.

The boosted F*rd ownz the RX7....

haha, beat you to it Hammer.

BTW, my bone stock V-6 SUV can pull high 16's on a G-tech with 19 gallons of fuel and a passenger on board. A tune up and low on fuel I could out run you.

Boosted Ford ownz all of you.

And Woohoo, if you want to beat that rx-7 just put about a gallon of diesel in his gas tank. Won't hurt it, but it won't run worth a ****. Did that on my rx-7 once, it sucked badly.

that is just wrong

one he gets his 400 ( if he gets it) and once I get my turbo we might be a better match

What does the fact that my wifes SUV can out run your "sports car" have to do with me being angry? If anything it's gives me a big smile.

FWIW, last time I saw a boosted Mazda it clicked off and blistering 18.1 1/4 mile.

last time I saw one it was a 40 second run at 20mph though the one before that was a 12.4 @ 114

busted the rear end

N/A rear and 400hp do not mix well

other then that I have seen runs from 9-10 second daily drivers around the country

to mid to low 12´s in this area alone

as for your wifes SUV

so what if she could beat me

I have a dying motor right now... broke a belt overheated the car it´s nothing to be proud of

and who is to say that with the g-tech you didn´t have it setup right
or maybe you where on an incline or something?

the reason I was saying something about anger is you seem to point me when I post here about stuff or in some way making it seem as though I´m trying for nothing

I donno maybe I´m thinking too much

so what b/c I own and import means I can not have interest in domestics?

I´m sorry but grow up a little bit there
just b/c I own an import doesn´t mean I don´t give domestics the same resepct. I love the f-body and I said I used to own one and I am half *** tempted to buy another one. the only thing right now is I am hitting a lack of funds while saving up for my motor.

just let me ask though is this a common practice of yours to give you thirdgen ppl a bad name? most everyone else here doesn´t act like an a<x>ss just you. whatever though if you have issues with me driving an import fine. no harm to me but have fun giving the rest of the thirdgen crowd a bad name

take care

That wasn't meant as a slam on imports at all. I'm the first person to respect any car that turns 12's, I don't care if it's a Yugo. I was more looking at you come to a domestic site trying to fit in with a crowd of people that are a tight knit group and you have a tendancy to side with and support people that have gone out of their way to start trouble with crew members. Why is that? Can you not find others that like you?

Remember here that you yourself told off one of our members who was trying to help you and have never thought about apoligizing. When I stepped in and supported our member you told me where I could go and what I could do when I got there. Now you want me to like you? I doubt it. If the fact that I do hold a grudge against people who trash my friends without regard makes me immature I'll take the title and wear it proudly.

Really, I could care less what you think I do to the rep of third gen owners. Someday you might meet me in person and realize I'm about the easiest going person you'll ever find and will do what ever it takes to help out my firends UNTIL you do something to warrant my displeasure. Your just one fish in a mighty big pond, big deal if a guppie doesn't like the barracudas.

I'm sorry about my actions in my post some time ago, lots of stuff going on and I was stressing. I for the most part am an easy going guy but at times things just get to me and I lash out if I feel as though ppl are acting against me. my whole issue back then was I was trying to get help and it seemed as though everyone was just going out saying you messed up deal with it, or saying stuff about how I did something I shouldn'et have and now I'm just comming out here crying about it. but again I'm sorry. if that was the whole problem all along though. you could have just said something from the start you know. would have made things a little easier

but I haven't even spent much time on the CC section lately due to lack of time. I didn't think you would continue to hold something against me.

am I trying to fit in with a bunch of thirdgen ppl. no if anything trying to learn more about the car, and help in places if I have the chnace. I like the car. who cares what I drive now. it does change the fact that I still love domestics.

The boosted F*rd ownz the RX7....

haha, beat you to it Hammer.

BTW, my bone stock V-6 SUV can pull high 16's on a G-tech with 19 gallons of fuel and a passenger on board. A tune up and low on fuel I could out run you.

I think the duramax is a GM/Izuzu

not a ford
