dynos

Anyone know of a good place to get my car dyno'ed? I've been reading Essam's thread on the TPI board with his HSR dyno tune, and I'm thinking that some time in the future, I might want to do the same. Maybe we could do a group dyno session as a meet sometime?

We do one every January, have for the last two years. Might keep an eye out on the Gathering forum at the Crew site For more gathering oportunities. There might be another mid summer dyno event, and there is a non dyno gathering coming up in June.

age, we are planning a summer one this year also, because of all the mod happy members we have this spring.

we will probably be doing it in the states though, not BC.

dewey,

well... I guess it would have to depend on where in the States. I do enjoy the drive (I just took a road trip to Boise last weekend in a Camry). I just don't like taking the Camaro on road trips.

How much do dyno sessions cost, anyways?

i depends on where we go and what we want.

in Jan. it was $50 for 3 pulls.

this summer i woudl like to rent a shop for a whole day, so we can get some real tuning done, instead of just 3 baseline pulls. the one shop i talked to quoted me $600 a whole day. so the price would depend on how many people we have, but the less people, the more time for each car.

*note all values are in USD.

DEFINATELY a proposition worth while for me. I'll have to talk to Karl (HMS) to see if he's willing to come along, as he does my prom programming for me.

Yes, one day, I'll have to learn... but I'm just scared that my lack of mechanical knowledge will be my downfall. Is it hard? I know that I can learn off the prom board, but still..

Dear Car Club Member / President, 04-29-03

I am writing to you on behalf of my father Mike Ross, President and owner of TNT Dyno. Some of you may have heard of our Everett based company.

TNT Dyno is a Mobile Chassis Dyno using a Dynojet Dynamometer. We will test your vehicle for TRUE horse power (what your putting to the ground), torque, and air / fuel ratio. What is really cool about this is you get to drive your car while everyone watches.

The reason for this email is to invite you all out to Pep Boys in Everett May 10th & 11th for an all Dyno day. This is not club affiliated and is open to everyone. For $75 you get 3 pulls on the Dyno, a complete printout of your runs, and the satisfaction of knowing what your hard work has given you. Pictures of your run are also available.

We hope to see you out there. Approx show time is 10am to ????

Thank You,

Jason Cross
