Advice

Ok so here's the deal. I have an 85 Z28 automatic that I want to do a t-56 swap on. I already have the t-56, I bought it off a guy in Seattle for $900. Seems like a good deal. But that's the only thing I have. What else will I need to complete the swap and where can I find them. There is a junkyard in Vancouver, Wa called All American Classics and they have TONS of third gens. I just need to know what I need and if I can get it from the yard or if it would be better to get new. And I live in Battle Ground, Wa so if any of you live close and would be willing to help out a high school kid it would be much appreciated.
Aj

Re: Advice

We have some members in the Cascade Crew (www.cascadecrew.org) that have done that swap, who are also members here. One in particular lives in Vancouver and may be able to help you out, he doesn't frequent these boards very much, so your best bet would be to skip on over there and look up Twilightoptics.

Re: Advice

Ok cool. I don't have much experience with these transmissions so I could use some help. I have a friend down the road with a lift and stuff who is gonna help, but all I can get is much appreciated. Thanks for such a fast reply.

Re: Advice

DO NOT GO TO ALL AMERICAN CLASSICS. They have very high prices and they steal your core charges.

Where is it? All American Classics is pretty close to me. That's why I've gone there.

Re: Advice

I think it is off of 78th st, a couple of blocks over from padden parkway. Its not quite as far away from 205 as all american. The actual name of the yard is LKQ I believe should be in the phone book under auto parts used.
