Re: I have a question someone might know

It's always a good idea to start any engine up regularly or prep it well for storage... best bet would be to start it up and let it run on a regular basis

Re: I have a question someone might know

Both of mine are always out in the weather. If I let one sit for much more than a week or two, the battery drains. That's the main reason I try to at least start it about every 10 days or so if I'm not driving it.

Re: I have a question someone might know

I start mine every week make sure theres plenty of gas too, ive killed fuel pumps like that and the pumps in these cars suck to change. Tarp might cause more trouble than good unless your car gets sunlight in the winter too. Ive wrapped cars up only to find the tarp just held all the moisture in

Tarp can ruin the paint, also. If the wind picks up it will scratch the heck out of it.

Re: I have a question someone might know

hey try driving it in this crap lol i drove back and forth from port orchard to silverdale monday, tuesday and wednesday lol thats the worst, be happy its just a tarp scratching up the body rather than another car

btw its not advised to drive a thirdgen in the snow/ice....theyre very unpredictable sometimes lol the only reason ive made it around is my t5, i wouldnt dare attempt it with a 700r4, if i couldnt down shift id be boned

when i stored mine in az i had to start it every couple of days to keep the battery up and just for peace of mind, atleast once a week let it idle and warm up to operating temp, keep in mind the longer you let it sit the more stale your gas bacomes, id put some fuel stablizer in if youre letting it sit for more than a few weeks, or fill up with some new fuel

Re: I have a question someone might know

I drove my 700r4 just fine in the last snow in the everett area... You pass your drivers test :P lol jk.. If your car is getting increasingly harder to start your fuel pump relay might be goin bad.. might be worth a check before your fuel pump goes bad. Dyerseve is right changing an intake fuel pump is stupid in one of these cars.. gotta drop the entire rear end..

Re: I have a question someone might know

Start it up about once a week. Let it get up to temp.Bring it up to about 1500 RPM'S for about 5 mins. This will get the condensation out of the engine, and recharge the battery. I would also recommend some "stabilizer" for the gas tank.
