hi guys

I guess I should introduce myself. I normally just lurk on this site from time to time, but since I actually posted something useful a minute ago, I guess I should say hi.

I am in Washington, and I have an '89 Trans Am WS6 with T5 tranny, posi rear, powered by a temporary 350 v8 small block chevy (building a 400ci that will replace that, sitting on the side) that I'm working on. It doesn't run yet, a minor issue between engine and transmission.

I like racing, working on cars, going to car shows, talking about cars, and 4x4'g in the snow. I like other stuff too, lol.

Re: hi guys

Thanks guys!

I am addicted to cars and racing them, but I refuse to admit I (might) have a problem. (Does that confirm I have a problem? LOL)

Re: hi guys

a bunch of GM guys get together & drag race on the weekends at Pacific raceways in Kent on friday nights & Bremerton raceways on saturday through out the year.

April 28th, 2012 marks the return to action for all you hardy Car Club Challenge participants.
The purpose of the Car Club Challenge (CCC) is to have Fun, Meet New Friends, Race for Trophies and Promote Drag Racing as a Safe, Legal and Structured Activity for those who feel the "Need For Speed"!
Racers will compete for individual points in twelve CCC race events this year.
Team Members' points will be added together to determine the winning Car Club.
An Awards Picnic will be held at the end of the season to honor Top Individuals and Clubs.
If you've never run your car down the quarter mile, there's never been a better time than Now!
You'll have plenty of "coaches" to give you advice on how to make the best time and should anything happen to your race vehicle, there are plenty of people to help you fix it! You don't even have to have a Camaro to race and if you don't want to race, come on down anyway to Cheer us on!! 2012 CCC races take place at Pacific Raceways (PR) on Fridays and the Bremerton Raceway on Saturdays. PR opens at 4:00 PM and eliminations start around 6:30 PM. Bremerton opens at 8:00 AM and eliminations start around Noon.
Here's the schedule, so mark your calendars and we'll see you there!

2012 Car Club Challenge Drag Racing Schedule
April 28 Race #1 Bremerton Raceway 8:00 AM
May 5 Race #2 Bremerton Raceway 8:00 AM
May 11 Race #3 Pacific Raceways 4:00 PM
June 1 Race #4 Pacific Raceways 4:00 PM
June 8 Race #5 Pacific Raceways 4:00 PM
June 15 Race #6 Pacific Raceways 4:00 PM
June 30 Race #7 Bremerton Raceway 8:00 AM
July 13 Race #8 Pacific Raceways 4:00 PM
July 21 Race #9 Bremerton Raceway 8:00 AM
Aug 18 Race #10 Bremerton Raceway 8:00 AM
Aug 24 Race #11 Pacific Raceways 4:00 PM
Sept 15 Race #12 Bremerton Raceway 8:00 AM

Anyone may race who has a street-legal car. Common tech-in problems that might keep you from racing are an open cooling system (no catch container for radiator overflow), an improperly secured battery, or too much rubber fuel line (less than 12 inches is allowed). If your car has a convertible top or T-tops, bring a DOT-approved helmet.
