Popped on and went off a few times, Im just wondering what to expect when I take the car to the terrorists (dealer)
On my Caddy, you can call up the error codes from the climate control LED! I thought this was cool as my wife used an error code legend to isolate an ignitionm problem. It was a bad ignition module. Dealer not needed, case closed
Had a nice ride today, took off the T-Tops and headed up 410 through Greenwater, then hooked a left up Hwy 70 untill it turned to gravel. A few 4wheelers were there and encouraged me to keep going, I said the road ends here for me, this is your territory
70 does has some nice twisties
Passed a few 3rdGen F-bodies, everyone waved at us, This is something I will have to get used to

I have a shop scanner but it's probably a long trip from your place to mine.
EDIT: Whoops! I suppose I ought to say I'm in the Tri-Cities.

Dude, the best thirdgen scanner is a paper clip! Seriously, read through the tech articles on this site. You jump like pins 7 and 8 or something like that, but it will let the car show you.
No reason to use a scanner when you can do it that way

Yep, used the old paperclip diagnostic tool many times! Works like a charm. You just gotta have the code table so you can decipher the flashes. Its probably on this board in the tech section. I always keep a paperclip, pre-bent, in the glove box 'cause I can never seem to find one when I need it!

I have the code scanner (came with the car
) and a shop book with what they mean, I can bring the book to the track with me and I keep the scanner in my center consol. So we can hook it up at SIR or if ya don't wanna wait use the paper clip method.

My shop scanner can read any of the engine sensors in real time and do vehicle self-diagnostics including downloading and resetting any trouble codes. If you guys ever get into a tough position and you need something like that let me know.

LOL, I suppose if you didnt take car of your seals then they would leak. But The 2 3rdgens Ive owned I havent had any probelms with them leaking, and it rains alot here (as it does everywhere in the Pacific Northwest)
As far as your cracks go, are you going to have them fixed since you wrecked the car?
Since you can just go ahead and have it all painted while its in the shop.-Roshambo
