Just bought a 5 speed.

I got a 5 speed, bell housing, flywheel, master/slaves and all the parts I need. Now as soon as I get my hood painted. Doing it a 5th time tomorrow. I want it perfect. Just got my painting technic down so I don't get orange peel. I just got to sand it down perfect now and hopefully minimize that ****ING dust and then it's 5 speed time. YES!!! Well after I get my truck out of the shop first that is. Some as shole hit it in front of my house.

I'm probably gonna keep the TH350 cause 5 speeds break. Always nice to have a back up. You looking for a TH350 Demon? I'm thinking of parting out that Firebird POS I bought and it has one in it. With the tailshaft for the torque arm on it too, and a shift kit. Hey Craig, long time no talk to. I got the gun I have now working perfect. The finish is awesome. I'm probably gonna sand it down and paint it today. Gotta get it out of the garage.

Brad...

Sweet, how much for all the stuff? I'm wat to do a 5-speed swap as soon as I have the money for the parts and would be very interested in the details on what it takes to do the swap - and pointers would be cool too

On a moderator type note, please don't use underscores to get arround the swear filter. We can get the point with just the ****'s

I paid $400 for it all. I may need to buy a new master slave setup just to be safe. I also bought the rebuild kit for the tranny from Hanlon Motor Sports and video for $170. That'll be cool when that gets here. I'll take pics and step by step instructions. The tech article here is seriously lacking in my opinion. The guy I bought it from is pretty cool and knows how to do it. He said I could ask questions if I get hung up somewhere. That'll help. Shouldn't be too hard though. Pretty straight forward from what I can see.

yeah... if I can't use it on the camaro I've got something else lined up for it already and ifn the 5 speed decides to blow up (I doubt it will, its a professional build hehe) I will have a backup atleast...

That or if I just get tired of the 5 speed for awhile I can just swap sumfin else in and call it spiffy hehe

Sorry John. Gotta keep it. But they're cheap. Only $150 from Summit. If you get one I'll mod it for you so you can use the stock cable and make more of a bolt in. Cause the way it comes is a joke. LOL Demon hehehehehe
Don't you have a 5 speed, Demon? If you start making good power you'll want an auto or T56 at least.

yup I have a 5 speed... and I've got plenty of power (tranny was professionally built, no where near stock w/c T5 specs strength wise hehehe)

I just looking for an auto just in case though... and if anything, I'd use it for something later if my 5 speed decides to be a POS (I doubt it will, hehe the clutch helps a lot)

Yeah Brad, I want to get a megashifter eventually, but I figured if you were selling yours I'd check it out. When I do get one I'll let you know so you can mod it for me!
