Andy, since you're in Canada, I don't think you have a computer controlled carburetor to start with...
The easiest way to find out is look at your distributor, do you have a vacuum advance canister on it going into the carb??
I can take a few pics of what mine looks like for you tomorrow ...
I don't know with canadian cars though, but I really doubt yours is computer controlled, so it'll make the swap easy for you

even if you car is computer controlled just leave the plug thats on the drivers side of the car unhooked it wont affect your engine. but make sure to have the plug on the right side hooked up
I did this to my 83 delta 88 and it ran perfect and I passed emmissions with flying colors and picked up a few horses with the performer intake. you MIGHT have to modify the throttle linkage a little though.

What year is your car? Demon, why would you think it isn't computer controlled because it's in Canada? At the time, one of the main assembly plants of thirdgens was in Ontario... dont remember if it still is.
I'm pretty sure any thirdgen after '86 Has a computer controlled engine. The carbed ones were early in the third gen. If you have a roc, or TA from 86 up, you do have a comp. You could always gut then computer, but it's gonna be more work than its worth I'm sure. Do you have TPI or TBI? In most cases, not all, but most it is possible to swap TBI for carb. If you did, you would still have to remove a bunch of things.
If you want a definite answer, ask vader, he'll be able to answer that question with facts. (General Tech Section)
Hope this info will help,
Jay

Andy's car is an 82 Z
Its not computer controlled
We got it figured out last night he scanned his Distributor for me, hehehe
Pre-TPI cars in Canadia didn't need to be computer controlled for some reason... I'm not 100% sure why though since theres still the emissions BS to worry about up there...
