Blown head gasket :(

I blew a head gasket on Friday. Pulled all the plugs, and cylinder #7 was full of water. Doh.

And it looks like I've almost stripped a bolt on the intake... the last one I needed to get off! Damn Torx!!! I hate them. Anyone have any advice on how to get it out? I've spend all Sunday cursing the guys at GM for using these fasteners.

Just needed to vent... that feels better

Oh, and can anyone recommend a place to get my heads serviced?

Well, if the bolt head is truly stripped, you can take a larger size torx, and then just kinda get it lined up right, and gently hammer it into the bolt head. Youll want to replace it anyways, but thats one cheap way to get it out.

Still don't have that bolt out, but the head needs to come off anyway, so I might just take the whole thing to a machine shop for them to deal with.

I talked to Heads Unlimited in Surrey, and they said $200 (about $130 US) for testing, planing, and replacing valve seals for both heads. Is that a good deal? I'm also wanting to get the ZZ4 cam, and I heard that I should upgrade the springs. Does anyone know which ones I should get?

I'm not in much of a hurry, since my parents are away on vacation, so I'm borrowing my dad's car. I'd rather put the miles on his car than mine.

If I wasn't going away this weekend I'd probably finish on Monday, but now I'm thinking it'll take till next weekend.
