acid works well

Most people just bleach the **** outta them though or use that oxy clean crap you see on infomercials...that stuff works decent

or you can just use those crest whitening strips, lmao

Normally people just buy new ones. They aren't that expensive and its really hard to restore them to that original blue/white look. Amazing I found a set in a yard in VA that looked great, but I didn't get them, the person I was with did, however.

Years ago a fellow club member bought some new ones and sent them to Mr. G's to have them chrome plated. Looked killer. Left a non plated vertical strip about 1/8" wide so he could see his fluid level. I've been thinking about either doing this or getting a pair of plated billet moon tanks for Blue.

The aluminum tanks are made by Moon (which is probably why they are called Moon tanks ). Don't know if they have a website or not, but there are lots of adds for their stuff by retailers in Street Rodder magazine. I haven't looked at their product line in quite awhile, but one of my fellow club members had them in the '89 IROC he used to own, and I really liked them.
