Took Hugger on a Trip this Weekend

On one of the most beautiful routes you can take in Oregon... Up the McKenzie River, through the Lava fields at McKenzie Pass, and down to Sisters and then to Suttle Lake. She ran great, just like on the trip down to Rosh's. Weather was perfect, and we took the t-tops off in the afternoon. Hard to believe summer is basically over now.

Took lots of pictures, but afterwards I got thinking. I don't think Hugger is in any of them. Guess that wasn't where my mind was .

The car is still getting bad gas mileage (around 17mpg), and we could smell gasoline through most of the trip, so now I guess I need to figure out what is causing that. Any ideas?

Well, Im guessing your not driving like you were when you were down here anymore?

I think I would post this question on the TBI board, cause I have no damn idea!

Also, that was me that posted under my sisters name

Fuel pump? Had to replace mine a few weeks back. It was leaking and my MPG was between 10-12.

Can't wait to see Hugger. Can't wait to meet this new girlfriend, too!

Oxygen sensor. When they fail the computer goes to a rich mode to save the engine. Lean will cause alot of problems so rich is the lesser of two evils. After that check the cat converter, it's probably starting to plug. I just replaced mine this weekend with 24" of 2-1/4 pipe.

Well, she has a shiny new delco pump, so that aint it (sorry Summer). I've been wondering about the O2 sensor, and they aren't hard or expensive to do so I'll try that next I think. Might consider a "test pipe" too (just to make sure, of course ). Someone else suggested that I may have a leaking injector also.

Yeah, Blue, when do we get to scare off... I mean meet this new girl??? Hope she likes tire smoke!

Hehehe, greatest wedding idea... a bunch of Thirdgens lined up w/ their back facing eachother and have the bride and groom run down the exit of the reception place to the limo to take them on their honeymoon and have each set of cars light it up as soon as they made it to the row of cars! Wouldn't that be a sweet wedding picture? That classic wedding picture of them running through the rice, but no rice, just a bunch of Thirdgens lighting it up!

Those of you who attended the PNWG2000 on Sunday last year have already met her. The rest of you... . As to whether she's my gf again, well, time will tell. I really want it to work with her.
