Need help moving some transmissions ....
I worked up some mad crazy deals this past week and turns out I gotta move some transmissions around pronto. Problem is, I dont have a truck. Anyone wanna make some easy quick cash? I'll pay someone some $$ to help me move transmissions with their truck. The reason I wanna offer $$ and not just ask for favors is because it needs to happen on 4 seperate occasions and I know thats a PITA. So I gotta make it worth your while. You name the price, I'll pay gas too. Dates/times definately negotiable. It will be strictly pick up and drop off. Need to move one from Kaimuki to Aiea first, then a few weeks later need to move one from Waipahu to Mililani, then a week later need to move one from Mililani to Aiea, then a few weeks later need to move that one back from Aiea to Mililani. Total is 3 transmissions, 4 trips to and from. I'm hoping to do the first trip this upcomming weekend. If any of you guys with trucks can help me out, please let me know. Thanks guys!!

I'd be willing to help out Shawn. Just let me know all the details for this up coming weekend. You said Kaimuki so I'm assuming from your uncles house right? If I can get a babysitter for my daughter I'd be able to do it this Saturday around lunch. Pm me with the details. Laterz.

Thanks for the help guys!! I got a friend that decided to part with his project 92 Z28, along with some extra parts for dirt cheap, and I went for it. I couldnt turn him down, it was a good deal. His 92 Z28 is a white hardtop with a L98, SFC's, headers and exhaust, only problem is it dosnt have a transmission. I got another friend that rebuilds transmissions, and he's looking for a 700R4 to rebuild for his own project (V8 S10). So I'm trading him a high mile slipping 700R4 from my 89RS for labor rebuilding the 700R4 from my orange 91Z. I just gotta pay for parts. Then my orange 91Z will be getting a T56 from my friends project stash, and the rebuilt 700R4 from my orange 91Z will be going into the white 92Z he sold me. I hope to give that 92 some major TLC and use it as my daily driver.

Yeah, alot of work. This whole thing caught me by supprise, I wasnt really in the market for another car. I cant even keep up with what I have! Now it looks like some other stuff I was doing will either be put on hold or stopped, too much stuff.
The car is a white 92 Z28 hardtop, L98/700R4. I'm not sure of the miles, I think he said it had 110k. My friend had planned to swap in the T56 so he took out the 700R4, but then he lost interest. So its been sitting on jackstands in front of his house with no tranny for a few years. I dont think hes been starting it up or anything, so most of the hoses and belts will probably need to be replaced. Probably need to flush out all the fluids too, cooling system, oil system, braking system, fuel system, etc. He said it was running great before he downed it and I trust him, so should be good to go. The body is in OK condition, paint a little faded, front lip mashed up, ding on the drivers side rear 1/4 panel, nothing major. The interior is all black, but its missing seats and a center console, and the headliner is sagging. I cant complain about anything though, it was a great deal. All of the other parts he sold me with the car are right in line with what I was planning to do so its gonna work out great.

Too many cars!! It got out of hand real quick so I need to downsize. The 89 RS project has been aborted. Its been sitting too long, and I need to get it out of Kaimuki. Its being towed to a parking stall to wait, not sure when I'm gonna bring it back to life. I would get rid of it, but it was the first Camaro I owned so it deserves better than being junked. The 84 SC shell I bought from Anthony is not going to be used either. I put in a seat to test out my body fitment in relation to the rollcage and turns out I dont fit the rollcage thats in there, I'm just physically too big. So it looks like I'm gonna be parting that car out unless someone else wants it. I'd prefer someone else use it, but if not it has parts I need for a T5 swap, as well as good body parts. I also have the 88 SC shell I'm parting out, it should be gone in 2 weeks. That car also has parts for a T5 swap and good body parts. The 89 IROC will now become the full time drift car, so no more budget project, and it wont be my daily driver anymore. The 91 Z28 will stay where it is, only comes out late at night for the freeway. That 92 Z28 will be restored and I'll use it as a daily driver. So when all is said and done I'll have 3 Camaros and a bunch of left over body parts for the IROC in case I tag the wall or whatnot in the future. Someday I'll bring that 89 RS back from the dead, I'm thinking a full time drag car (since its already gutted) using the carb'd 350 and TH350 tranny. But thats way down the road.
