Summer '05 Cruise

Any new ideas?

We need to get something together this June or July. Even if your f-body isn't ready, we still gotta' have a cruise.

Dragnights and Drifting always come up and those are fine with me.

I'm always off Saturdays so works for me. I think our last cruise was on a Saturday too. Here is a small list of events that I know of during the month of June:

June 4 - Westside Cruisers, Kapalama @ 5PM / MPRRA, 9-5PM / Drags - Bug In 6PM-12AM
June 11 - Drift Session 9AM - 3PM / Wendys Cruise Night / Drags 6PM-12AM
June 12 Sunday - Hawaiian Island Camaros Pearl Harbor Car Show
June 18 - Drags - Pro Gas Assosciation 4PM-12AM
June 25 - Speed Hawaii 9-5PM / Drags 6PM-12AM

Lets decide on a day and get it setup. Lets make sure to include a stop with good scenery for pictures, and a stop with some good food.

I can make it in the evenings unless I'm with a customer until late.

You guys can pick a date so I can try to make it. My schedule changes daily now.

I finally wired up my single fan to a switch, so my 'bird should be reliable.

I work Saturdays from 5pm-1am. But since my car isn't ready yet, don't worry too much about me. I am however off for 3 weeks in August. But for one of those Saturdays, not sure which one yet, I'm gonna be "working" at the racetrack at night. I got to film Tom Brown's blown alcohol dragster racing on a Pro Gas night. That should be fun

i usually get saturdays off... amazing in the world of retail sales "blown alcohol dragster" individually those words remind me of fun, but add them together n' it = badass.
Where do you guys think would be a good place to snap some pictures? I'd love to have a decent sized picture to be a small poster of our cars for my room.
If we end up at cambell side, we could take some pictures next to the beach in the industrial area but the parking lot it small so it depends on how many ppl show up. Or if you guys are down to come to my side of the island, we can go to that huge parking lot in hawaii kai, across from hawaii kai drive where the canoes and jet-ski's launch. it gets kinda windy, but if we park the cars on the edge of the lot, then it'll look pretty nice with the water/horizon in the background... even better if it's at dawn/dusk.
At night, if we find a building that has neon signs, we can park on the side, take a shot from across the street and slow down the film/shutter speed to get a nice red and white head/tail light stripes kinda effect from the cars passing by while our cars are stationary.
ooouuu, n' i like th way the headlights look when they shine through smoke/fog. Probably very hard shot to get, but if there's sumplace with a light fog where you can see the path of the headlights, yet still see the shilouette of the cars, that'd be pretty nutz i think. Maybe we can make our own smoke?
I'm just rambling off ideas as they come to my head, w/o really thinking about it. so don't mind me if they sound weird n' funkily out there.

Yeah I'm down to make some smoke heheheh Lemme put together a list of good photoshoot areas (gotta talk to my friends) and we can all decide on a route and a date. Hawaii Kai Boat Harbor is a really good spot, theres also one by Makapu'u. How far are you guys willing to drive? Since Anthony works the swing shift on Saturday I'm thinking of a day cruise, like 10 or 11am to 2 or 3pm. We can also have lunch somewhere. Cool with you Anthony? Anyone planning on running drags after the cruise? Not sure how many of you are members of ProGas, but June 18 or 25 seem to be looking like really good dates if everyone is down for a Saturday cruise with Drags to top it off. I wanna see what the B4C runs ...

Tracy got a new Digital Camera so we can bring it along for the photos. Its a 5.1 MP and does the shutter adjustment, so should be good. Might be good enough for a poster size picture, but I think one in a 7 MP range would be the best for posters. We'll see what happens.

I'm good for anything hehe... as long as my car's fully repaired... some clown backed into me while i was waiting for a parking stall, crushed my front right fender and spider webbed the paint on the whole front end, he "cracked the radiator too"... well i'll see how much I can squeeze out of his insurance company to fix her up... on a side note, I sold the 91 Z28, so yay..

Good. The more we get planned the better off we'll be.

I'll try to make it to whatever you guys set up, but we'll see. Either way, I'll follow anyone to the dragstrip that night if they're goin'.
