Transmission: 700-r4

4th Gen rear going in - 3rd Gen rear going out

Within the next couple of weeks I'll be doing a rear end swap on my '91 ragtop, most likely at the Fort Shafter Auto Craft Shop. The old 10 bolt drum brake rear will be pulled and the 4th Gen rear with PBR brakes will be going in, along with a aluminum drive shaft.

If anyone is interested to see how this is done, you're welcome to visit, see the car up on lift and how the installation goes.

The old parts are give-aways if anyone is interested in the axles, gears, etc.

BTW, I'm still looking for a used tire....

Where is the Auto Craft shop, & don't we need military I.D. to get on?

The craft shop is located on "Shafter Flats" next to the tire company. It's on the opposite side of the front entrance to Fort Shafter, turn left, left again, the garage is just down the street to the right. You don't need a military ID to visit.
