id liek to buy all the parts off an 82 firebird or ta or maro to put a 4 speed into my trans am . I need all the parts . I really need the z bar and the pedals and all that type of stuff.

The Z bar as in the clutch linkage? I have the Z bar clutch linkage off of my 83 TA with a 5 speed. But i can hook you up with all the parts i got.

 

no its different if its from a 4 speed car . 4 speed cars are non hydraulic .

 

Where are you located? I've got a few parts cars with 4 speeds.

 

Mine is not hydraulic

 

All 82/83 cars were manual clutch, 4 or 5 speed.

come on really , even the 5 speed were hydraulic , are you sure about that. I thought they only did it with 4 speeds and in 82 . I thought ive heard somewhere about 83 but all the books say 5 speed and ive never heard of a non hydraulic 5 speed for the 3rd gen . but what ever .

 

id put my life on it, because i definatly have a Z bar 5 Speed.

 

ok , um , i want to put a super t 10 into the car , is the stock saginaw that could come in the 82 will everythign fit for the t 10 . or not .

 

i just checked a chiltons and your right, i guess the 83s have 5 speed without hydraulics , but i dont think that will work , i think i need a 4 speed linkages.

 

Well i got 5 speed linkages, if you cant find anything else, let me know.
