I'm looking for a cheap posi unit. 26 spln 3 ser for 7.5 / 7.625 (7-5/8) 10 bolt rear end. I dont have much money to spend on this so I was hoping someone might have one in need of a rebuild or something that they could let go for cheap. Thanks.

I have one and the spider gears have a couple of chips out of them. Not sure if it's a 2 or 3 series but it's 26 spline. Pulled it from a car in the scrap yard about 10 yeas ago. Paid $50 for it. Ring gear is still on it. You can have it for what I paid if you are interested. I'm located near Toronto.

 

Ok, I'll keep that one in mind. Is it a gov lock then?

 

I'm not sure what you mean by gov lock. It's got spider gears kind of like an open diff but it has springs/plates. Think it's the Auburn style posi.

 

When do you need the posi by? I got one in my ta right now but I am gonna pull the rear end and rebuild it completely. It probably will not be for a couple more weeks thou. It will need a rebuild. I will give it to you for like $20 plus shipping. Let me know.

Yeah, there's no hurry. What kind is it? I need to know that I can get a rebuild kit for it and how much that would be first..

 

All I know is that it is the stock 26 spline carrier that came in my car. It has the springs and plates. If you need more info let me know and I will go a searchin.
