Jongbloed Hood
Anyone out there got a Jongbloed Hood for my 88 camaro!?!?!? I know Hawks thirdgen parts has them But 750 is alittle much for me.
they are site sponsors. top one on the left.
Just be warned, apparently some people were burned by these guys few years back so their image is not exactly positive. They used to be in florida under a different name.
My opinion is that people got upset because the company got too popular and couldn't keep up with demand. Now they have few more people working there and my experience with those guys was absolutely 100% positive.
The person I spoke with actually went out of his way to make me a hood because there weren't any in stock and I ordered it on tuesday and was going to pick it up friday morning.
These guys are killing me. They do great product, but their site is crap. I told them this back in september, if their site was half decent they would have so much more business. Here's the page you might want to look at: http://www.gtautoacc.net/Jongbloedaero.html
You cannot get to this page from their main site. Before I used to find it through google, now google doesn't see it either. I had to use webcrawler.

But since you asked, even thought it is primed what I will do is scuff original primer, put another 1-2 layers 2k primer on sand and level the surface with a long block and only then paint.
The hood looks awesome as it is sitting in my garage right now, but I wouldn't just trust that those guys didn't leave one or two high/low spots.
Plus you have to paint within the recoat window of the primer anyway. Since the hood generally sits for a few days, you have to prime it.
