Ya no kidin. The belt system is whats going to be the hard part. What car and what Motor do you have in the car right now. I think you said 86 TA??? It depends on if you want V-belt or Serpintine belt. My 86 was V-belt I think when it was stock. The newwer Ones are all Serpintine and the pulleys and location's are different on the newer ones. And there different for what motor the parts are going to come off off.
Your best luck is going to be finding someone with a complete system all from the same car that you can just bolt onto your car.
If you cant find that. Some parts you can use. I have a compressor, that square radiator looking thing along the firewal??, and the sylinder. Those will be universal for whatever you want to do.
Sorry I,m not to much help on the tech side. I dont have air, it was all scrap metal to me.

I have a complete system (minus the stuff in the heater box on the firewall and the pressure line pressure switch...still looking for the a/c delete box to take its place) off of a 87 trans am GTA. It was the V-belt system, and the compressor was mounted on the driver-side of the motor. It worked fairly well last summer. This summer when I tried to re-fill the system, the clutch would not engage on the compressor to cycle the refrigerant in, never looked into why, just took off the system and opted to do without it since I have t-tops.
