Nitrous cams?

What are the desired characteristics for a cam when running nitrous?

I ask because I will be doing a build up on my 305 and I already have a nitrous kit and was woundering if the setup I have will work well with nitrous.

Ported World S/R torquer 305s
ZZ4 cam 208/221 0.474/0.510 112 @ 0.05"
edelbrock TBI manifold

I was thinking of just running a 50 shot on this setup, just want everyones opion on the cam.

Most people agree small blocks can use help on the exhaust side. I'd put 1.6 rockers on the exhaust side. That will help it breathe a little better on the bottle. Try the cam you have, it may work better than you think.

Yeah, I thought the ZZ4 cam would be a good candidate for nitrous, with all the exhaust duration and lift. Just wanted to get some opinions on it.

My bad, I didn't even notice the split profile of the zz4. I think it wiil be a good cam for nitrous. If the pattern is symmetric I run 1.6 rockers on exhaust but you're okay.
